Contentious Trusts

We are living in an era where contentious trust litigation is rife. Many trusts were established several decades ago with nothing like the quality of professional advice or level of forward-thinking which would be far more commonplace today to minimise the risk of future trust litigation.

I am happy to consider accepting appointments as Trust Protector where there is contentious trust litigation imminent or already in progress. The existing Trust Protector may well be a family friend, a relative or a trusted advisor who really has no appetite to be placed in the middle of such litigation. The process will very often result in new trusts needing to be established, invariably with new trustees and protectors as the parties seek to start afresh.
